It pours

Tonight I'm visiting my mother in Beaverton, and I have to say, I could never live here... I love the rain and all, but if it never stopped, I think I would fall into a deep depression.
Earlier I was in Salem for a meeting at the capitol. I'm on the State Superintendent's "Youth Advisory Team." Yeah, I am a badass. I know.
Anyway, autumn is in full effect in Salem, and it's absolutely gorgeous there. The avenues around the Willamette University campus are lined with trees that are all changing colors and shedding leaves.
I was walking to my car, and when I was waiting for a crosswalk signal to give me the ok to cross the street, this guy on a longboard said to me, "Nice, huh?"
"Yeah, it's a beautiful day," I replied.
Akwardly enough, Mr. Negative was sarcastically referring to the fact that all the traffic was stopped, and there were no cars on the street with the green light.
Enjoy the weather. I'm still counting the days until Mt. Ashland opens... Snow would be nice, but this fall weather will do for now.
