Portland's Alternative

So I was a little worried that Medford's alternative radio station would be way behind the times compared to one in Portland, but I guess KROG is up to par. Today I listened to 94.7 "Portland's Alternative," and I really enjoyed the selection. Were it not for the ads for incredible Portlandian concerts, I actually wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between this station and 96.9. I heard a little Faith No More, followed by Interpol, and then Pearl Jam. All pretty basic. The only kind of random thing I heard was Violent Femmes- Add It Up... not an unpleasant surprise at all. So bravo, Portland, for being kick-ass, and bravo, Medford, for (as our friends from the hood sayeth) keepin' it real.

PS: At this record store, "Music Millenium," I saw two String Quartet tributes to Weezer... Sweet.
