Ah, Spring Break.
You are a breath of fresh air.

I have been up till the wee hours of the morning for the past few days, doing absolutely nothing.

It has been glorious.

Update Post 3

I wish I could say the weekend ended on that high note. But what goes up must come down, and nothing gold can stay, to drop a few cliche's in there.
Sunday morning we decided to go to breakfast with our pal Noah, with whom we were staying through the weekend. I drove, since we were in my car, even though I was kind of grounded from driving with other people in my car because of my recent run-in with the law...
Anyways, we drove into Portland toward the Hawthorn district to find somewhere to eat. Noah sat shotgun, my friend Larissa sat behind me, and my cousin Raquel sat rear passenger side.
As we entered the intersection of 2 busy roads, we looked around to see what street we were crossing. At that moment, a red Neon plowed into my driver's side door. Apparently I had ran a red light, and for that I suffered dearly. No one was hurt, but serious damage was done to both vehicles.
My pride has disintegrated, considering I have regressed back into my younger years of waiting on curbs until my mommy or daddy could come pick me up. I probably won't be able to drive for a couple of years, considering my car is totalled and this is the second accident I've been in within a few months, so my insurance will skyrocket, prompting cancellation. And the worst part is the knowledge that I almost killed one of my best friends.
Mortality's a bitch.

Update Post 2

Damn GoogleMaps was totally off on the directions to the theatre, and we got completely lost, resulting in us arriving at the show late. Which resulted in us not getting tickets.
Since it was sold out, so we ended up sitting outside with a couple drunks/bums for the first set, but we got to be right near a few attractive musicians. Then we talked a security gaurd into letting us in for regular ticket prices, with my cunning eloquencey (<-- probably would be more effective if I knew how to spell that). The concert was absolutely outstanding. Nothing beats a punk show.

Update Post 1

Well, since I got a little behind this weekend, I figured I'd update in 2 installments: one post for what should've been said before this weekend, one for what should have been my reactions to the weekend in its entirety, and one for a run-down of the past few days' events. This post shall henceforth be written as though the date is Friday, March 17th, and I am looking forward to a fantastic weekend. Thus, post 1 commences.

Tonight I will be driving up to Portland with my friend and my cousin to see a concert tomorrow. Anti-Flag, the Casualties, and the Unseen are all playing tomorrow night at the Loveland theatre. We don't have tickets yet because the service charges for buying them online were ridiculous, but the show probably won't sell out. I'll update you all when I return!

Here is what my sleep pattern has been for the week:

Tuesday, 7:45 am: wake up
Tuesday, 2-4 pm: nap
*No Sleep all Tuesday night...
*Wednesday, school all day, Red Robin orientation during afternoon.
Wednesday, 6pm: go to bed

*That's 13.5 hours of sleep. Glorious!

Now it's technically Friday. Bah.

Alright, I feel these are fitting times for poking fun at myspace and emo kids. Here's a little song that my friend Zach and I wrote. Which was posted on myspace.

"i have emo grass"
by Zach and Erin

im blinded by my emo intentions
and im bound by my self loathing.
when i cut up my arms
get light headed
feel like floating
paint my white walls red
like the blood that i shed
because im so sad.....

and i wish my grass was emo
like me, so it would cut itself.
now the mowers' rendered
useless.
I'll use it on myself

i have a tiny pecker
and i have no balls,
it helps me in my tight girl pants
they're three sizes too small
i have the perfect weight-loss
plan, caffiene and nicotine
that's the price i love to pay
to be emo (slash) scene

comment my pics they're
at a tilt to hide my girly build
my hair in my face
and my head down-cast
and with tears my eyes are filled.

and i wish my grass was emo
like me, so it would cut istelf,
now the mower's rendered
useless,
i'll use it on myself

**Disclaimer** The part about the ::ahem:: male anatomy was all him.

The Working World

Although I'm technically still employed for the next 2 weeks, after which I will be receiving a hefty severence-pay-check, I have found a new job.
Thanks to Jill J. and Amanda F., I will be hostessing at Red Robin. Yay!

Awkward

Real Men Profess Their Undying Love Via Text Messaging.
The following is a 6 message long text from an intoxicated friend of mine who I believe was already told that I am not interested in dating him.

before i say this, i just want you to know that this doesn't have to change anything between us unless you want it to, i just need to say it. you probably already know this but the fact of the matter is that i have feelings for you. I've had them since i met you, they've grown since i've gotten to know you, and I'll always have them. also, i just want you to know that you are a great person, and in every way the most perfect girl i've ever met this far in my life, don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise and certainly don't think otherwise. i've been wanting to say that for a long time, but i am shy and awkward when it comes to women and i fear negativity from those who i respect. take this message as you will. It can mean everything or it can mean nothing. i just needed to get it all out there and off my chest. please don't give me the silent treatment.

Yep. Awkard as hell.

Crossing my fingers for a job at the Dutch.

plus: Just picked up Nine Black Alps - "Everything Is" for $6 at Target. Pretty good stuff if you're into Foo Fighters/QotSA style riffs and the typical rock-ish sound.
