Overcorrections and Loss of Control
So, um, I should have died today. You can all thank your lucky stars that I'm still here. I must still have a purpose to serve.
Today, I was riding with my friends Sara and Jenny in Sara's new/used Taurus. We had just left Jenny's house, out near Ruch, and pulled out onto highway 238. It had been raining all day, so the road was mighty slick, and, well, Sara pretty much sucks at driving. Bad combo. She started screwing with her stereo, and when she looked up, we were headed towards the ditch on our right. So she tried to straighten out, overcorrected, and ended up in the other lane headed straight into oncoming traffic. She then proceeded to overcorrect again, and we went off the road.
By all laws of physics and gravity and all that shit, we should have flipped over and died. We basically jumped over a 3 foot ditch, and landed on a huge empty field.
A little shaken up, but we were okay. Jenny and I got out of the car and Sara tried to drive over to the driveway at the edge of the field, but she got stuck in another ditch in the middle of it.
So after about a half an hour, Jenny's dad and uncle got us towed us out.
Then I drove back into Jacksonville, because I wasn't too confident in Sara's driving skills. All's well that ends well, eh?
